Hello, I’m Saeedeh Rad, lovingly known as Mrs. Rad by my students and families. I am a mother, an educator, and the founder of Beyond Alphabets — a place where children learn, create, and grow through imagination, art, and nature.

My journey in education began long before Beyond Alphabets — it began with my own children. Watching them learn through play, art, and outdoor exploration inspired me to create a learning environment that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and character.

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, a Certificate in Early Childhood Education, and a California Teacher Permit, I bring years of experience teaching children of all backgrounds — including those with autism, ADHD, and different learning styles. My approach blends art therapy, project-based learning, and nature-inspired experiences to help every child connect deeply with what they learn.

At Beyond Alphabets, children are encouraged to get messy, explore nature, and learn by doing — whether painting under the trees, building with clay, or solving real-world challenges through play. Along the way, we focus on teaching respect, kindness, and responsibility, values that help children grow not only academically but also emotionally and socially.

With many years of teaching experience in public schools, private schools, homeschool, and CO-OP settings, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of students, including those with special needs. My teaching background covers reading, writing, math, art, ceramics, and pottery, and I love using hands-on, creative approaches to make every lesson meaningful and fun.

Through Beyond Alphabets, I’ve combined my educational background, artistic skills, and deep love for children to build a program that supports the whole child — academically, socially, and emotionally — while helping families feel connected, supported, and inspired.

My Teaching Philosophy

I have always believed that teaching is far more than having degrees or completing paperwork — it’s about creating genuine connections.Teaching, to me, is a bond between the teacher, the students, their families, and the community. It’s about understanding each child’s heart, listening to their stories, and helping them grow not only in knowledge but in confidence and character.

An engaged program is the key to meaningful education. When teachers engage with families — understanding their needs, values, and hopes — learning becomes a shared journey rather than a classroom routine. I see education as a circle of connection: children, parents, and teachers all working together to support the child’s growth in every possible way.

When children are actively involved and hands-on in their learning, they naturally develop curiosity, creativity, and confidence. They don’t just memorize — they explore, question, and discover. Whether through art, nature, or real-world projects, I encourage children to learn by doing — to create, touch, build, and express themselves freely.

I believe that education should awaken joy. It should inspire curiosity, nurture empathy, and teach respect and responsibility — not through rules, but through experiences that children feel deeply connected to.

My role as an educator is not only to teach lessons, but to build relationships, create safe spaces, and ignite the spark of learning that stays with every child for life. Because in the end, real teaching is not about how much we instruct — it’s about how deeply we connect.

I believe every child is unique, every mind learns differently, and every heart deserves to be understood. Beyond Alphabets is more than a program — it’s a community built on love, creativity, and connection.
