Beyond Alphabets Terms and Conditions
Policy Updates & Modifications

Beyond Alphabets reserves the right to modify policies, schedules, fees, and program details as necessary.

Families will be notified of material changes.

Continued participation constitutes acceptance of updated policies.

By enrolling a child in any program offered by Beyond Alphabets — including but not limited to homework tutoring, camps, art and pottery classes, after-school programs, enrichment programs, drop-in care, and summer care — parents and guardians acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms, policies, and conditions outlined below.
Registration & Enrollment

All registration and enrollment must be completed through the official enrollment process on the Beyond Alphabets website.

Enrollment is confirmed only after receipt of a confirmation email and invoice from Beyond Alphabets.

Homeschool enrichment programs provide academic, enrichment, curriculum-based, and supplemental instruction.
-
If a specific curriculum is not provided by Beyond Alphabets, it is the parent or guardian’s responsibility to purchase and supply the required materials.
-
Parents are responsible for collecting, organizing, and submitting any required samples, assignments, or documentation requested by their homeschool charter or supervising teacher.
Homeschool Curriculum & Academic Support

Beyond Alphabets offers a customized, enrichment-based curriculum designed to support each child’s individual learning needs.

Programs may include, but are not limited to:

180 days of immersive learning in Geography, Science, Social Studies, Math, English Language Arts (ELA), and Spanish
-
Schoolhouse Discoveries themed unit study kits integrating multiple subjects
-
California-based curriculum resources from Teachers Pay Teachers
-
Online learning tools such as IXL Learning and Khan Academy
-
Educational content from National Geographic
-
-
All curriculum and enrichment activities are aligned with state standards and best educational practices.

Beyond Alphabets reserves the right to update or refine curriculum, materials, and teaching methods as part of continuous program improvement.
Parent & Guardian Responsibilities

Ensure missed coursework is completed at home if a child is absent.
-
Understand that Beyond Alphabets is not responsible for making up missed instructional time.
-
Acknowledge that additional resources, curriculum modifications, or personalized academic support may require enrollment in homework tutoring and may incur additional fees.

Understand that enrichment programs are group-based learning environments and not one-on-one instructional settings.
-
Beyond Alphabets staff are not able to provide daily or weekly individual progress reports for students enrolled in group enrichment programs.
-
Individual academic updates and reporting are provided only to families enrolled in one-on-one homework tutoring services.
-
All students enrolled in enrichment programs will receive a monthly newsletter and a general monthly progress report outlining classroom activities, learning themes, and overall program updates.

Beyond Alphabets is not a full-time school. Ongoing academic progress requires consistent collaboration between Beyond Alphabets and families. Parents are encouraged to actively support homework, assignments, and practice at home.
Behavior Expectations & Discipline

Beyond Alphabets is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment.

Students are expected to demonstrate appropriate behavior, respect peers and staff, and follow program rules.
Behavioral Process
-
First occurrence: Parent/guardian collaboration to address concerns

Second occurrence: Parent may be asked to pick up the child
-
Ongoing or severe behavior: May result in suspension or dismissal without refund
-
Bullying, unsafe conduct, or behavior that disrupts the learning environment will not be tolerated.
Tuition, Fees & Payments
Homeschool & Enrichment Tuition

All tuition and registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
-
A $200 annual registration/material fee applies and may be billed annually or per semester.
-
Tuition secures a child’s spot regardless of attendance.
Charter School Payments
-
Monthly charter payments require submission of a screenshot request by the 15th of the month for the following month.
-
Semester enrollments require two requests per semester, including separate registration/material fees.
-
Families are encouraged to submit semester payments to avoid delays or late fees.
Private Pay Families
-
Tuition must be paid before the first day of the upcoming month.
-
Enrollment fees are due by the first class unless paid through charter funds.
-
Charter vouchers, certificates, or purchase orders must be submitted before services begin.
-
No refunds, credits, or make-up sessions are provided for absences or holidays.
Late Payments
-
A $40 late fee applies to overdue payments.
-
Enrollment may be suspended for unpaid balances.
Withdrawal Policy
-
A 30-day written notice is required to withdraw from any program.
-
Failure to provide proper notice will result in the remaining tuition being due out-of-pocket.
-
Tuition remains non-refundable after notice is submitted.
Re-Enrollment Policy

If a student discontinues participation in any Beyond Alphabets program for any reason and later returns, the student will be considered a new enrollment.

New enrollment status requires:

Payment of current tuition rates
-
Payment of all applicable registration, enrollment, and material fees
-
Acceptance of all updated policies and program requirements in effect at the time of re-enrollment
-

Previous tuition rates, registration fees, or program terms do not carry over after a break in enrollment.

Events & Ticket Policy

Some events require paid tickets for children and parents.
-
Parents are responsible for purchasing required tickets.
-
All event tickets are non-refundable.
-
Parent participation may be required depending on the event.
Outdoor, Sensory & Hands-On Activities
-
Children should wear clothing appropriate for art, sensory, and outdoor activities.
-
Beyond Alphabets is not responsible for stained or damaged clothing.
-
For field trips or park visits:

Parents cover applicable ticket costs.
-
At least one guardian must accompany the child.
-
Homework Tutoring Services
-
Students must bring all required homework, assignments, and materials to each tutoring session.
-
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for rescheduling requests.
-
Same-day cancellations incur a $30 cancellation fee.
-
Same-day schedule changes, including early pick-up requests, are not permitted and are not eligible for a refund or credit.
-
If a tutoring session is rescheduled or canceled by Beyond Alphabets, no cancellation fee will apply.
After-School Program & Transportation
After-School Transportation & Student Safety Policy

The safety of all students is the highest priority.
-
All drivers are fingerprinted, Live Scan–cleared, and CPR/First Aid certified.
Parents acknowledge and agree that:

Minor delays may occur due to traffic, weather, or school dismissal procedures.
-
Drivers may transport students from multiple schools.
-
Driver assignments may change due to operational needs.
-
Students should look for staff wearing yellow Beyond Alphabets shirts and official signage.
-
After-school transportation is a school-year commitment; families remain financially responsible for the full year if services are canceled.
-
Unsafe or disrespectful behavior may result in suspension or permanent removal from transportation services.
-
Booster seats or car seats must be provided by parents if required.
-
A $50 no-show fee applies if a child is absent without notice.
-
Late pick-up fees are $4 per minute per child.
-
Repeated late pick-ups may result in termination of services.
-
Parents must notify Beyond Alphabets at least 24 hours in advance of absences.
Emergency Communication & Safety

Parents must remain reachable during program hours.
-
Emergency communication may occur via phone, text, or email.
-
In emergencies, students may be temporarily relocated to a neighboring business.
-
Beyond Alphabets’ next-door neighbor, Danny at the local dry cleaner, has agreed to provide temporary shelter if needed.

Liability & Waivers
Assumption of Risk & Liability Release (California)

Participation involves inherent risks.
-
Parents voluntarily assume all risks and release Beyond Alphabets from liability, as permitted under California law.
-
This release remains in effect for the duration of enrollment.
Photo & Media Release
-
Parents grant permission for photos and videos of their child to be used for marketing and promotional purposes.
-
Written opt-out requests must be submitted if consent is not granted.

Referral Program

Families receive a $50 tuition credit for each successfully enrolled referral.
-
Credits apply to future tuition only and are not redeemable for cash.

Only one credit may be applied per billing month.
Waitlist Policy

Waitlist deposits are non-refundable.
-
Tuition rates may increase for the following year.
-
Deposits secure placement but do not lock in pricing.
Holidays & Closures

Beyond Alphabets follows the Saddleback Valley Unified School District (SVUSD) academic calendar.

Summer closure dates may vary and will be communicated in advance.
Agreement

Parents agree not to solicit private services from Beyond Alphabets staff outside of official programs.

Violations may result in termination of enrollment.
Complaints, Concerns & Resolution Process

Concerns must be submitted privately via email to srad@beyondalphabets.org.

Beyond Alphabets will review and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
-
Families agree not to post public complaints before allowing internal resolution.
-
Defamation, harassment, or false statements may result in immediate termination and legal action.
Final Acknowledgment
By enrolling a child in any Beyond Alphabets program, parents and guardians confirm that they:
